Vaginal moisturizers are long lasting and designed to keep your vaginal moist for long periods of time. Moisturizers are different from sexual lubricants that are only meant to work for a short time, like with sexual intimacy. The moisturizers work similar to a body lotion or a facial moisturizer that, when used regularly, keep your tissues moist all day.  Do not place body lotion or petroleum based oils in your vagina because they can be harmful and increase your risk of infections.
